Spiritual Habits: Dhuha and Tadarus Highlight Day Two of MATSAMA at MTsN 2 Bogor
352 Fresh Students Embrace School’s Religious Culture With Enthusiasm Since Morning

Bogor, July 16, 2025 – The second day of the Masa Ta'aruf Siswa Madrasah (MATSAMA) in 2025. Program at MTsN 2 Bogor began with praying of Dhuha and reading holy Qur’an as 352 students gathered on the school’s field as well as in their respective classrooms.
This activity has become one of the main programs of MATSAMA in shaping students with strong spiritual foundations since the first day at the school. The participants seemed out praying Dhuha together with peace that was guided by Rohani Islam mentor (Rohis), followed by reading the holy Qur’an with proper rhythm and pronunciation in small groups.
MATSAMA Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Nani Sudiar, S.Pd., emphasized the long-term purpose of the activity that is held for nurturing spiritual discipline and a deep appreciation for the Qur’an from the outset.
“These coaching habits of Dhuha and Tadarus are not only MATSAMA’S program, but will continue as part of the students’ daily routine at school. We hope our students are used to the religious environment and find it as worth worship.” Mrs. Nani said.
She also mentioned how these early experiences contribute to the development of student character through the school’s core values, summarized in the acronym CERDIK (Creative, Educated, Religious, Disciplined, Innovative, and Knowledgeable) among students.
On the other hand, one participant, Ahmad Rifa’i, shared his reflection on the experience:
“I wasn’t really familiar with Dhuha prayer before, but doing it together here at madrasah, with support from our teachers and friends, makes it feel engaging. The tadarus sessions are also helping me become more motivated to study the Qur’an,” he said.
The participants also seemed out of enthusiasm and enjoyment in these activities. They admitted that they feel more peaceful and motivated to keep learning and knowing the madrasah faith-based academic environment.
With programs like these, MTsN 2 Bogor continues to foster not only academic excellence but also moral and spiritual integrity in every student.
